Shooting A Buddha...

Originally when planning an extra look for eastern spirituality I liked the idea of creating a human Ganesh with several arms based on Hinduism.  I looked back at all my statue pictures from the V & A and also continued to do more research.

When looking at my book so far into the project I knew this wouldn't work.  I had two mediation images already in there where arms are a major focus.  I didn't want my whole section to just be all arms.  I decided after careful consideration that I would instead focus on creating my own Buddha head...

I studied the different models and tried to think how i would create this on a human...I decided that again model choice was very important.  I used an oriental girl called Yoiwan, i knew this would bring more authenticity to my final outcome...In order to achieve my look I bought bun rings and gold sequinned fabric to create my Buddha head....

After looking at the finished result I knew that any visible hair would also need to be painted gold to fulfil the desired result.
