In the statue the tallest figure in my impression was that of 'Jesus' I wanted to re-create this with my own interpretation of 'Jesus'. I wanted him to be surrounded by a kind of figure that gave the essence of Mary Magdalene. From looking at Dolce & Gabbana's collections I knew there type of staying would make my image more contemporary. For the female in the shoot I began by also looking at Nun's to gain inspiration. I felt this wouldn't really work and probably wouldn't have as much impact. Here is the main image behind my inspiration...
For my Jesus I knew for definite that i wanted him to be topless I felt this would have a much more modern feel. There aren't really images that can 100% show what he looked like it's just an impression. I wanted him to look as 'classic' as I could possibly make hime with no real idea of what he actually looks like...
