Researching Catholicism...

This was an interesting part of my shoot as I'd never really looked that deeply into art and painting from religious history.  As I began to look more in depth at all my research from the V & A I began to see how other designers, artists and other creatives had also used things for there inspirations.  Dolce & Gabbana in particular caught my eye.  I had already researched some of this for my trend package, there current collections were heavily influenced by Sicilian Catholicism...I used there imagery to inspire staying references for my imagery.

From my research I knew that my ideas of re-creating statues could definitely take some of this on board...
